Many Faces of Color Workshop

Through the funding of the Towson College of Fine Arts and Communication, I traveled to the Arrowmont School for Arts and crafts in Tennessee to study fabric dying techniques and other fiber arts processes.
One aspect of this workshop was to dye fibers with natural dyes. The picture depicts me measuring Aluminum and Potassium to prepare for the mordanting process.
Another aspect of the workshop was to use the dyed fibers to create a final composition. The picture depicts a loom and other tools needed to weave. Inspired by the mountains, I created a weaving landscape.
